RIE class for Lily. First one this year. She was on fire the whole time. After snack the teacher commented that Lily did very well, something that we have been working on. I see Lily is turning a corner with her food intake, she is showing much more interest in meals and eating more at each meal, subsequently she is sleep much better and has more or less slept through the night for a few days now in row.
There is a little closet thing in the hall that we call “Luke’s secret spot”.
Lily found her own version as soon as the kitchen remodel was over.
She cant fit in it and she never will, but it will not stop her from trying, oh about 2-3 times a week. Go Lil!
The problem with having a care free day with the kids like this:
is the morning after:
“Welcome to the working week
Oh, I know it don’t thrill you, I hope it don’t kill you
Welcome to the working week
You gotta do it till you’re through, so you better get to it”

My birthday, trying to spend it with the kids as much as possible. Had a great morning, now I am home and the challenge is not to feel like, oh a little cleaning here, oh, a little housework there…
Luke decided it was backwards day and put his clothes on appropriately. What I did not realize until I was at the park was that I put Lily’s shirt/dress on backwards as well without even thinking about it, now THAT is connecting!
Pound of pee, urban myth? I think not.
Lily slept through the night last night, I decided to weigh her diaper on a digital kitchen scale afterwards.
1 pound 1 5/8 ounces
A pound of pee. Yes I will sanitize the scale if y’all is wondering
Blurry, rainy, all good I think?
Sunday we went to two different birthday parties. mom took Luke to one and I brought Lily to another, kinda wish we could have all had fun together, but the kids enjoyed themselves. Lily was really tired, but not complaining, fell asleep in the car and slept until almost 4pm.
