Uttered on the basketball court or in a pool hall I would be particularly pleased, but in this case it is Lily’s first sentence and has now become a common iteration in our home.
Lily and I were laying on the floor reading, I looked at her and she started looking closer and closer and closer into my mouth, clearly intrigued by what she saw.
And what did she see? Oh about seven gold crowns, she pointed, and uttered her ubiquitous “unh, unh, unh” when she wants to know what something is called, I said “gold”
She then said
“Daddy got gold”
I sure do!
