Mommy Days

It was a hot weekend and we pretty much stayed home. Ma and I traded off cleaning the house and watching the kids. It is actually a nice way to spend the weekend, because we are all together and perhaps the bathrooms get done, which they did.

There was a call for the beach in the late afternoon so Luke and I went out to battle the throngs of Santa Monica Beach. Good news was he just loves it so much and has such a fun time battling the waves, and the parking was free for some unknown reason. The bad news was that I lost the car keys in the sand and had to take a taxi home, (which Luke also loved) and then go right back and pick up the car.

No bigee and a small price to pay for seeing this:

I also had the pleasure of taking Luke out to buy something with his allowance for the first time. We started the allowance about a month ago to see how it might effect his daily question of when can we buy him a new Lego set. I think it is a good idea, though when we were at the checkout and he was .25 cents short, I saw the fear in his eyes. Luckily I felt flush and offered up the difference.

He got a snow plow and when we got home mom suggested using flour for snow, another brilliant moment from Ma!
